Find the Version Number With Internet Explorer
The easiest way to find out what version of IE you're using is to check the version number from the About Internet Explorer dialog:

Select the gear icon or hit the Alt + Xkeyboard shortcut.
Older versions of Internet Explorer, as well as newer versions of IE that are configured in a certain way, show a traditional menu instead. If so, select Help instead.
The major version of IE, like Internet Explorer 11, is obviously apparent thanks to the big Internet Explorer logo that has the version appended.
The complete version number of IE that you're running can be found next to Version under the big Internet Explorer logo.
Use a Command to Locate the IE Version Number

Cons
Instability: We recorded several occurrences of Internet Explorer 11 crashing. Often, this only resulted in the program closing and restarting. On one occurrence, we were on a reputable Web site, but IE 11 still crashed, resulting in a total restart of the computer.
Iffy compatibility: Internet Explorer 11 easily navigates to and from Web sites, but at times, certain Web sites do not load properly. This was supposed to be fixed with IE 11, but it appears that these problems are still effecting the browser.

Internet Explorer 11 is the standard browser that most individuals are familiar with. It is great for those that want only a basic online experience. Other programs, like Google Chrome, offer more personalized displays and features, and Microsoft should add these options to improve IE 11.
